Sun Pal is the collaborative project by illustrators Lina Müller and Luca Schenardi.
Their drawings are distinguished by an entirely analogue visual language, where seriousness and humour shake hands. Creative freedom and artistic experimentation — often combined with research trips and extended stays abroad — characterise the work of Sun Pal. Their meditative and psychedelic approach takes you very far out to places where meteorites threaten lonely Swedish forest clearings, plant-based monster trucks cruise the highways of Los Angeles, and a walk on splendid Seaweed Boulevard ends in an underwater universe full of living amphorae and smoking crabs.
Each illustration is hand-drawn, using ink pens, felt-tip pens and coloured pencils on paper. Sun Pal’s work has been published in books, magazines and fanzines as well as on cassettes, LPs and T-shirts all over the world.
